This one-session course will provide a biblical study on believer’s baptism and lend assistance in preparation for baptism at Hope Bible Church. This class is perfect for you if you are a follower of Jesus, regularly attend Hope as your home church, and want to be baptized publicly as a follower of Christ.

Before you jump in, we want you to have clarity on who we are as a church. This two-week class takes a deeper look into what we believe as a Christian community and seeks to equip you to live out the Christian life here at Hope Oakville.

This one-session course will provide a biblical study as to local church membership. In addition to answering questions related to the nature and commitments of membership, students will also gain a greater understanding of the Lord’s purposes in local church ministry. This class is specifically designed for individuals who have completed the necessary prerequisites listed below and are seeking to become a member at Hope Bible Church. All 18-25-year-olds are welcome to join our Hope Twenties summer hangouts on the lawn. These will be casual gatherings for our young adult community to spend time together in the summer weather. We'll have a variety of lawn games available, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer. Also, bring your own water bottle and lawn chair or blanket to sit on.

It is a time for God’s people to seek the Lord and His agenda for their individual lives, families, church, and community.It is a gathering of individuals who take seriously their responsibility to corporately prepare their lives and church for an outpouring of God’s blessing.It is a group and individual experience of the glory of Christ within and among His people.It is a prolonged praise and prayer meeting at which individuals from the same church or group discover and express their oneness in Christ.It is an environment where personal revival is nurtured and common.It is a time for repentance and reconciliation.It is a time of spiritual warfare as Christians are led to deal with areas of personal and corporate sin.It is the beginning of a new expressed dependence on God in the church, and the first phase of real revival.What will be our focus? We will seek God’s face more so than His hands.We want to talk to Him, not just about Him.We want to sing to Him, not just about Him.We want to passionately seek to understand, know, and intimately relate to Him, first and foremost.anything else will only be significant if it is in response to this commitment. Join us for a five-week training course in which we’ll examine the what, why, and how of evangelism as we learn how to share the gospel biblically, naturally, and effectively. Within this class students will develop and practice skills in sharing their testimonies and reaching those around them with the message of Christ. Watch this video to learn more.

Objectives: By the end of the course, participants will be able to: Discern the various literary genres present in the Old Testament (e.g., narrative, poetry, prophecy, wisdom literature) and apply appropriate interpretive methods to each.Identify the major divisions and books of the Old Testament, understanding their chronological and literary relationships.Understand the central theological themes of the Old Testament, such as covenant, law, prophecy, and salvation history.Articulate how the gospel message is present in the Old Testament.Duration - 9 weeks Prerequisites: None

Hope Young Adults is a Group Life opportunity for anyone aged 18-25. Young Adults meets twice a month on Thursdays at 7 PM at Hope Bible Church and in homes in the Halton area for small groups.

Hope Youth Junior High students are invited to our upcoming Junior High Fall retreat. This retreat is for students in Grades 6-8 attending Hope Youth. We look forward to a time filled with worship, time in God's Word, and time with leaders and friends. No transportation will be provided for this retreat. Parents are responsible for dropping off and picking up their student(s). *PLEASE NOTE* Retreats are an intentional time of worship, teaching, and community for our small groups. We ask that students be committed to the entire weekend and that you make sure they do not request to come late or leave early. This is a distraction for everyone. Men's Group Life exists to bring men of all walks and ages together weekly, for collective devotional time and prayer, followed by small group time. In these leader-facilitated small groups, men will engage in intentional study the Word of God, Bible based prayer together, and engage in fellowship for accountability and sanctification. Please note that you must register to join a men's group.

Registered women gather weekly in facilitated small groups, focused on the study of God's Word and care for one another through prayer, service and fellowship.  Tuesday Mornings: 9:30-11:30 am (childcare option; registration required).

Mamas & Minis offers moms a place to meet and connect with other moms outside of the weekend. It is a great resource for moms who are new to Hope Oakville or moms who are looking for community. We are so blessed to have a facility that allows play and fun for the kids and great space for moms to chat and get to know one another. We have a new program for Play Day which includes free play, song & story time and an opportunity for moms to chat and pray with one another. Bring the kiddies, some of your own nut-free snacks, and enjoy some coffee and fellowship together. It will provide the practical applications of handling finances, getting to the heart of the matter. If you are a young adult starting off, someone who finds yourself in a financial difficulty, or just a person learning to grow in wisdom with finances, this class is perfect for you. Hope Young Adults is a Group Life opportunity for anyone aged 18-25. Young Adults meets twice a month on Thursdays at 7 PM at Hope Bible Church for worship, teaching, and fellowship. Twenties that desire to join a small group also meet twice per month at the church and in home in the Halton area.

Course Description: This course provides a comprehensive overview of the Old Testament (Hebrew Bible), exploring its historical, literary, and theological significance. Students will gain a foundational understanding of the major genres, themes, and characters within the Old Testament, as well as its place within the broader context of ancient Near Eastern literature and culture. Objectives: By the end of the course, participants will be able to: Discern the various literary genres present in the Old Testament (e.g., narrative, poetry, prophecy, wisdom literature) and apply appropriate interpretive methods to each.Identify the major divisions and books of the Old Testament, understanding their chronological and literary relationships.Understand the central theological themes of the Old Testament, such as covenant, law, prophecy, and salvation history.Articulate how the gospel message is present in the Old Testament.Duration - 9 weeks Prerequisites: None

If you, or someone you love struggles with anxiety consider joining this 9-week care and support group. The focus of this group is to allow the Gospel of Jesus Christ to speak to emotional suffering, and to find our identity not in an issue but rather in the person of Christ. Both men and women are invited to this group which will be facilitated by Soul Care team members. There will be video based teaching each week along with time for smaller group discussion and prayer. As this is an in-person class, space is limited.

Hope Youth Senior High students are invited to our upcoming Senior High Fall retreat. This retreat is for students in Grades 9-12 attending Hope Youth. We look forward to a time filled with worship, time in God's Word, and time with leaders and friends. No transportation will be provided for this retreat. Parents are responsible for dropping off and picking up their student(s). *PLEASE NOTE* Retreats are an intentional time of worship, teaching, and community for our small groups. We ask that students be committed to the entire weekend and that you make sure they do not request to come late or leave early. This is a distraction for everyone. When - Oct 17-19, 2025 Where - We will spend the weekend at Circle Square Ranch in Brantford, 1645 Colborne St E, Brantford, ON Drop off - 7:00PM Friday, October 17 Pick up - 1230-1PM Sunday, October 19.
